SEMA 2017: 2011 GMC Yukon XL Outfitted with Atturo Trail Blade BOSS Tires

This year at SEMA 2017, Atturo was involved in many project vehicles for the show.  One of these, the "Project 3/4 Ton" is a 2011 GMC Yukon XL outfitted with our Trail Blade BOSS tires size 38x13.5 R24 - A Big Tire for the Hardcore Offroad.
Daniel Connell takes us on a closer look at his big truck build...

The Atturo Trail Blade BOSS is the fourth tire in its Trail Blade® series with the most intimidating tire design to date. The tread is designed from the Quartermaster QSA-1 BOSS HOG knife, a blade made for heavy duty, hard core use. Alternating shoulder blocks follow the outline of the knife handle tread. The tread’s high void ratio provides superior grip across the varied terrain. Smaller center tread blocks are linked for stability from the high abrasion abuse of rocks.

A BIG tire with a BIG attitude, the BOSS has earned its title.
• 17% better traction in deep mud
• 10% better in gravel
• 9% better in sand

*Based on NATC testing against the Trail Blade® M/T

Atturo Introduces New CV400 Commercial Van Tire with 40K Warranty at SEMA

This hard working tire is designed for the commercial van segment such as the Ford Transit and Ram Pro Master.  These vehicles have become increasingly popular for all types of urban service and delivery fleets.  The segment opportunities have expanded into consumer markets as the modern full size van for camping, luxury conversions and group transportation. The extension of the Atturo range for this category is a natural complement to the brand’s dedication to the Light Truck market segment.

The CV400 covers popular sizes for the global fleet of commercial vans.  The full range carries the ‘C’ designation for higher load rated commercial vehicle use.  While these types of vans have been prevalent for years in many countries, their growth in the US is just starting.  Recent industry statistics show that the original equipment size for Ford Transit and Ram Pro Master, 235/65R16, has jumped to the number three OE light truck tire size in the United States.  These vehicles use their tires and demand frequent replacement.

The Atturo CV400 tread pattern is designed just for the commercial van application.  The broad shoulder blocks with deep sipes provide stable handling for high center of gravity vehicles.  The interlocking chevron center blocks maintain directional tracking.  The three center channels improve water dispersion for improved traction and braking.  A highly durable tread compound supports the 40,000 mile tread wear warranty.

The CV400 size range is certified for international markets.

The New Mitsubishi NZ Triton Huntaway Sports Atturo Trail Blade MT Tyres!

Mitsubishi NZ just unveiled their new TRITON HUNTAWAY  "ute" (utility vehicle) for the New Zealand market.

This isn't a vehicle model that's for sale, but is built to demonstrate all of the cool mods one can make with the Triton using aftermarket accessories to replace OEM parts or as add-ons.

All of the customizations can be found here, but the most significant one is the pairing of DTM Fuel Ripper 20 inch wheels with Atturo Trail Blade M/T tyres.  This gives the Triton Huntaway a stance that's over 100mm above a regular Triton.

Visit our website and see how you can modify your truck or Jeep's stance with the Trail Blade series of tires (or tyres if you prefer).  They're aggressive styled and packed with off road performance!

Check out the video and see for yourself...

Big Weekend for Atturo Drivers 43 and 151 at the Showdown in Charlotte!

Atturo Tires had an eventful weekend in Charlotte, NC - Nascar country! The temperatures were hot and the dust was stormy, but it didn’t slow the Atturo teams down.

The Atturo tires really connected with the North Carolina red clay during the event. Friday night Travis Dinsmore raced in with a third place finish and Atturo’s third podium! Andrew Carlson was the fastest in practice on Saturday and Travis Dinsmore right behind being the second fastest.
We hosted a Drivers 101 and autograph session in our Atturo booth on Friday and Saturday. The fans had a chance to meet the drivers up close and learn a little bit more about the Pro Light racing in the TORC series.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words:

Carlson clearly demonstrated that he can run with the best on both day one and day two as he posted blustering fast lap times in his practice sessions. Carlson had the fastest laps in his groups on both days, which certainly provided confirmation that the rookie driver was making progress with his driving skills and that the CM crew had his truck dialed-in for the conditions.

"Our team was confident going into Charlotte after just coming off of a win in Crandon. I felt I had a good setup and are continuously improving on the track. Friday night the truck felt good and was fast. But Luke and Doug were equally prepared and fast." - Travis Dinsmore

Qualifying and the feature events proved to be challenging for the driver and the team, as the Carlson Moto team attempted to adjust to wild fluctuations in track conditions from moist tacky traction-rich conditions to a dust-storm environment with ice-like blue grooved corners.

"I felt good taking the lead early leading quite a few laps but fell back after pushing too deep in the corner. After the restart my truck suffered a flat and loss of brakes from contact in the second turn ending our race." - Travis Dinsmore

Atturo Pro-Light Racer Travis Dinsmore Takes 4th at TORC

After a solid runner-up finish at the final race of the 2014 race season, Travis Dinsmore was looking to build on that momentum at Texas Motor Speedway. The final result gave the #43 Sleco Atturo Tire VP Fuels PRO-Light its second best finish ever in the category and really put the rest of the class on notice. The guys from "North of the Border" are a serious contender for the championship.

Before Sleco Race Team arrived at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway, the team spend a few days testing in Arizona as well as making an appearance for Atturo Tires at King's Tire in Fort Worth. Just as the team set-up their pit area, so did the rain. For two days heavy rain blanketed the area, which caused TORC officials to cancel Friday night's opening round of racing.

The TORC weekend at Texas was also bringing awareness to the Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit which is raising funds for the Guardian for Heroes Foundation. In honor of benefit the team printed up decals for racers and fans to show their support of the benefit and the foundation.

By Saturday morning the sun was out and eighty degree temperatures were in the forecast. The TORC track crew went to work and by noon time, the PRO-Light group went out for the first of its two practice sessions. Right from the start, the Sleco Pro-Light turned some very quick laps. The Saturday qualifying session saw a very competitive field, lay down some very close lap times. Officially Dinsmore qualified fourth fastest, just .726 seconds from the pole.

The opening race of the season saw the #43 Sleco Atturo Tire VP Fuels PRO-Light lined up on the inside of the second row for the eighteen lap run. When the green flag waved, Travis Dinsmore make a charge for the lead. When the field headed out of Turn 3 and into the infield portion of the tack, Dinsmore grabbed the lead. Quickly the Sleco truck opened up a substantial lead. When the field slows for the halfway mandatory caution, Dinsmore's five second lead disappears.

On the restart, the Canadian driver continued to dominate. Then with less than three laps to go, the truck catches a rut and nearly rolls, but somehow Dinsmore gets it back on all four Atturo Tires. The incident shuffles the Sleco PRO-Light back to fifth place. The final few laps Dinsmore continued to push to make one final pass and to finish in fourth place.

"We had the winning truck tonight," remarked Travis Dinsmore. "I'm really excited for the rest of the season. I was confident going into tonight's race that we would be running well, and we proved it tonight. The fourth place finish is still great for our team, but in short-course you race your fellow competitors as well as the track. To get our program to this level not only do you need great partners and great equipment, but a great crew as well. I'm fortunate to have all three."

The next TORC Series presented by AMSOIL event is only three weeks away. Don't miss "The Rumble on the River" May 16-17, at Gateway Motorsports Park in St. Louis.

If you can't be there in person you can always watch all the streaming free online.
